Are diabetes and thyroid problems related?
Thyroid diseases and diabetes mellitus are two of the most common endocrine disorders. Both thyroid disorders and diabetes have been known to mutually influence each other. While thyroid hormones are responsible for the regulation of metabolism, growth and almost all the function of the body for day-to-day activities, diabetes affects thyroid function to various extents.
